Wonderland Academy
Wonderland Academy is a private language elementary school that builds students’ fluency in Czech and English from the start of pre-school, as well as a third language (Spanish or German) from the start of the second grade. The Wonderland Academy educational program is designed to suit both students with previous knowledge of the English language and those who do not yet have it.
Wonderland Academy is a school that is based on friendliness, respectful and caring relationships between staff and children, and a comfortable environment. The small number of students in the classes allows not only an individualized approach to each student, but also contributes to the family atmosphere that we encourage in our school.

A Unique Educational Program
The original educational concept of Wonderland Academy consists of the simultaneous teaching of most subjects in both Czech and English. It is standard that almost every subject is taught in two languages. This standard creates a natural bilingual environment in the school, in which students easily acquire the ability of code-switching (i.e. switching from one language code to another).
We Combine Classic and Modern Teaching Methods
At Wonderland Academy, we build on the latest educational principles. Our educational pillars are based on language education, knowledge of computer technology, critical thinking, financial literacy, and the ability to speak and present. At Wonderland, we recognize that every student is unique and excels in different areas. Therefore, we implement a variety of teaching methods that enable a deeper understanding of individual students' personalities and how they approach learning and help teachers discover each student's individual learning needs.

Vision
Wonderland Academy values quality education, stability and trustworthiness. Through the unique curriculum and the expertise of our international teaching staff, Wonderland uses the best pedagogical strategies to ensure the excellent quality of primary and secondary school education. This allows parents to entrust their children to a single school for the entirety of compulsory school attendance, and not have to endure the stress of moving schools at the end of the 5th grade.
Mission
Wonderland Academy is a private school with a bilingual Czech-English curriculum. Within the primary school, students are provided with a quality academic education with a unique curriculum; excellent language teaching provided by an international teaching staff; a wide range of leisure activities including a variety of school groups and clubs; an individualized approach with a 1:7 ratio of the number of teachers to students; and a family environment with a comprehensive care and support program.
Školní vzdělávací systém
Základní škola Wonderland Academy podporuje oblast psychologického a výchovného poradenství. Přímo v prostorách školy působí školní psycholog, speciální pedagog a výchovný poradce. Pracují mimo jiné s žáky ohroženými školní neúspěšností, žáky s poruchami učení, ale i s žáky mimořádně nadanými. V úzké kooperaci s třídními učiteli a ostatními pedagogy jim zajišťují poskytování doporučených podpůrných opatření. Do školy pravidelně dochází i klinický logoped. Jedná se o komplexní služby žákům, jejich rodičům a pedagogům.
Zároveň mohou žáci školy navštěvovat celou řadu zajímavých kroužků, které se ve většině případů konají v budově školy či v prostorách školní zahrady. Některé kroužky jsou vedeny rodilými mluvčími v anglickém jazyce. Program je koncipován tak, aby měli žáci možnost prostřídat sportovní, kreativní, vzdělávací i odpočinkové aktivity.
Ve školním roce 2021/2022 je možné vybírat z více než 20 kroužků, různorodě zaměřených. Sportovní oblast zastupují například jóga, sebeobrana, taneční kroužek, fotbal, judo či hojně navštěvovaná Krav Maga. Umělecké pak Art Club, keramika, piano, kytara nebo moderování. Edukativní směr podporují English Club, Spanish Club, Deutschklub, ale také například ekologický kroužek, čtenářský klub či veselá věda.

Modern and Safe Environment
We strive to make students feel comfortable and content at Wonderland Academy. All spaces are equipped with modern, functional, and tasteful furnishings. In our Academy you will find bright and welcoming classrooms, an ICT classroom, language classrooms, a library, an art room, a gymnasium, quiet zones, a meditation room, and a spacious school cafeteria. The school garden has a multifunctional playground with certified play equipment, trampolines, and a quiet zone.
