Pavla Hajian
Founder
Pavla Hajian has experience as a director and owner of a preschool in London, Ealing. She has worked for many years in international language schools and nurseries. She has been running Wonderland Preschool since 2009 and is the founder of Wonderland Academy, a private language school. She is herself a mother of five children (Kimi, Dany, Melanie, Charlotte and Nicolas).

Zuzana graduated from the Family School with an economics and administration specialization. She has two children whose names are Terezka and Tomáš.
Miss Zuzka handles all economic matters and obligatory documentation of children for the preschool. She takes care of meals, and records attendance. She looks forward to working with you, and you can contact her any time with any questions.

Martina Průšová

Martina was born in Prague. She graduated from high school with a degree in natural sciences and worked in tourism. After the birth of her children, she was looking for the best way to devote herself to them and educate them. So, she went to school to further herself. She has taken several courses focused on musical and psychomotor development of children, received the international Montessori AMI certification for working with children 0-3 years, the national Montessori certification for working with children 3-6 years, graduated from the secondary pedagogical school in Mladá Boleslav and completed the course, Respect and be Respected.
Since 2011, she has worked as a lead teacher in a Montessori preschool, led lessons and workshops for parents and children, worked with teachers in the Helping Schools Project and has worked as a toddler class leader in an international Montessori preschool.
Working with children is her great hobby and joy. Children make her happy and she loves observing the world through their eyes. In her spare time, she enjoys personal self-development, baking and cooking unconventional meals, swimming, hiking, and exploring the beauty of nature.

Sylvia Reece

Sylvia is an American from Southern California with a diverse background and a passion for teaching. Having lived in 7 countries, including Sri Lanka, Japan, France, and Nigeria, she has gained valuable cross-cultural experience and insights. Before her time teaching English in South Korea, where she developed a knack for making lessons fun and interactive, Sylvia earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy.
Her broad range of experiences has also led her to try out various hobbies such as rugby, Tahitian dancing, and comedic improv.
With her diverse background and wealth of knowledge and experience, Sylvia is excited to share her skills and help others learn and grow.

Barbora Gábor

Klára Rutkovská
Rainbows Class Head Teacher
Klára originally comes from the north of Bohemia, where she grew up in the middle of the Bohemian Paradise. Her studies at university brought her to Prague, to study Humanities at Charles University.
Before studying at Charles University, she went to high school in Mladá Boleslav, where she received her education in pre-school and after-school pedagogy. For her studies at university, Klára wanted to deepen her knowledge in the field of pedagogy, so she was happy to become part of our preschool, where she works as a teaching assistant.
Klára completed a language course in Southern England and English has been a part of her life ever since. In addition, she loves the outdoors and spends most of her free time training her dog and taking long walks in the mountains. Her other hobbies include playing musical instruments and exercising.

Dominika Poková
Teacher
Dominika is a graduate of the Secondary Pedagogical School in Prague, where she studied "Pre-school and out-of-school pedagogy". During her studies, she gained experience in several preschools and a primary school. After graduation, she started her bachelor's studies at Accent College, where she studied "English as a Foreign Language". At Accent College, she was able to learn how to teach adults English. Recently, she expanded her teaching education by taking an accredited training course as a speech therapy assistant.
Since 2010 she has been working in the private ballet school, Arabeska, where she still teaches ballet classes for children from 4 to 10 years old. Thanks to this experience, she decided to go in a pedagogical direction, and focus on the education of preschool children. She further expanded her experience in teaching ballet in other institutions specializing in dance training for children.
She spends her free time in the ballet room, where she can be found either passing on her experience to young ballet dancers or training herself. She herself has been involved in ballet since she was very young. During this time, she has had the chance to gain teaching experience at regular children's dance camps, dance in many beautiful theatres and cultural institutions, and compete internationally.
At Wonderland Preschool, she looks forward to working with children in a variety of ways to develop their personalities in different areas, playful learning, and fun!

Michael Freire
Native Speaker - Unicorns class
Michael originally comes from Miami, Florida in the United States. Michael is a native English speaker but also speaks intermediate Spanish and pre-intermediate Italian. He studied at the California Polytechnic University Humboldt, majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in developmental psychology. During university, Michael worked as a tutor for primary school students in addition to working as a caregiver.
Michael has worked with children since he was an adolescent, working at summer camps as well as volunteering with various mental health organizations. After university, Michael moved to New York City where he worked as a Preschool teacher before moving to Prague. While there, he was given the benefit of being trained in an environment that put a large emphasis on creating not just great scholars, but happy and responsible people as well.
In his free time, Michael enjoys reading, playing music, and cooking. He often spends his weekends exploring the city and all of the cultural advantages that it offers, as well as the many beautiful towns and natural sights there are to be seen within the Czech Republic.

Chelsea Michalek

Chelsea Michalek has joined our team coming from warm and sunny South Africa. She has been an Early Childhood Development teacher for almost 15 years now. Chelsea has qualified with distinctions in the following fields Basic childcare, counseling, Early childhood development, identifying developmental delays, and the implementation of curriculum, as well as first aid.
Her last position she held in South Africa was as a directress and head of curriculum. She has always loved working with children and has a huge passion for her career choice, She enjoys watching children grow and learn in each of their own ways. Each child always finds a place in her heart. She is a mother to two beautiful daughters and is one of the most patient and empathetic people you will learn to know.

Zuzana Kostlivá

Zuzana graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague. In 2003 she went to Oxford to gain valuable experience by taking care of four young children and studying English, which she finished with an FCE exam.
She finds the international environment and working with children very fulfilling and has worked at PBIS for a total of 7 years as an assistant in a primary school and for the last three years as a preschool teacher.
She enjoys spending her free time traveling with her family - ideally in nature, in the mountains, or by the water, where she enjoys a variety of sports, and she also likes to recharge her energy with music, books, or trying something new - most recently, for example, trying her hand at woodcarving.

Tereza Macurová
Psychologist
Mgr. Tereza Macurová is a Psychology graduate from Palacky University Olomouc. She has worked with children since her studies, in groups for autistic children and as an educational LARP programmes trainer. When working with children, she enjoys creativity and flexibility of children minds the most. She believes that every child has the capacity of enriching the world and that´s what led her to Wonderland, where she wishes to help making that come true. In her free time, she engages in culture and long walks with her dog. As a passionate reader, she enjoys Russian classics and psychological literature. Beside reading, she´s also an active writer. At the moment, she´s a trainee at the Integrative coaching programme and plans on furthering her professional education even more.

Monika Šeberlová

Monika comes from Prague, where she graduated from university with a degree in tourism. Traveling and exploring new cultures related to local gastronomy has always been her great passion, so working in this field for several years has given her many opportunities to explore the area.
However, she has equally enjoyed spending time with and organizing programs for the children in her neighborhood. The children's enthusiasm for discovering new things and their undisguised gratitude for Monika spending time with them is what has always energized her and given her life its purpose.
The greatest experience she gained was thanks to her two children, who gave her the momentum to go in a new direction after her parental leave. The offer of a teaching assistant course was a clear invitation to study again and to start a new job, which she is looking forward to at Wonderland Academy.
She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, whether on trips or playing sports. But she can't resist relaxing in a spa or enjoying cultural events of all types.

Anna Havelková

Ms. Anička was born and has lived all her life in Prague or its surroundings. She also graduated from the Secondary Vocational School of Education in Prague, majoring in pre-school and after-school pedagogy. In her third year of vocational school, she worked as a leader of a children's group where she met children from different countries around the world, and this gave her the opportunity to further develop her English language skills. As part of her employment, she also attended several first aid courses aimed specifically at pre-school and younger school-age children. She has been around children of different ages all her life. Working in a preschool is a lifelong dream for her, which she has set out to achieve since the age of three.
Anna's biggest hobbies are painting, woodworking and visiting galleries. She is interested in art history and architecture and would like to travel to as many historical cities as possible. She loves skiing and swimming and finds fulfillment in spending time with her family and friends.

Pavlína graduated from the Secondary Pedagogical School and the Higher Vocational School of Pedagogy in Litomyšl, majoring in pre-school and out-of-school pedagogy and special pedagogy.
During her studies she worked as a teacher in a day care centre for a year. She approaches children with love and respect. She leads a movement club and has worked as an instructor at several suburban camps. Her interests include listening to music and dancing.

Adéla Blažíčková
Little Bears Class Head Teacher
Adéla graduated from the Secondary School of Education and also received a DiS. degree from the Higher Vocational School of Education with a focus on preschool and after-school pedagogy. Among other things, she has obtained the professional qualification "Nanny for children in a playgroup" and has attended several webinars.
She has extensive experience with children, mainly as a teacher in a preschool, but also as a teacher in an afterschool club, where she independently led one of the seven departments. She has also completed countless work placements during her degree, worked on children's residential placements as a senior leader, looked after children of different ages with different families, and also refereed swimming competitions.
Working with children is very fulfilling and also reminds her that all the schools in the world cannot teach you everything and that children are the greatest teachers. She likes to come up with interesting programs for the children, where she also gets to try or learn something new. Children will find in her a loving approach as well as lots of fun, creative or musical activities (she is fully proficient on piano and flute).

Michaela was born in Prague. She graduated from the secondary school of pedagogical lyceum, where she acquired a lot of experience with children, as a teacher in a school daycare, a preschool center, and a teaching assistant. Simultaneously, Michaela freelanced at themed after-school events designed for children. She is dedicated to babysitting and in her spare time she volunteers as a visitor at children's orphanages and goes to summer camps with them. In addition, she enjoys playing basketball, reading books from various genres, and creating art. All her activities with children continue to motivate her to pursue this work and improve her skills.
