Dear Parents,
We are already in the middle of November and the children are slowly starting to ask when Christmas will be. With great anticipation in their eyes, they tell us what they would like to have under the tree. Unfortunately, even in the Czech Republic there are many children whose parents are in a difficult life situation and cannot buy their beloved children a beautiful present, or even children who have no parents at all. At Christmas time, we often think about such sad fates and often think that we would like to help them in some way. It is this solidarity that led us to the idea of joining a project organized by the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren called "Shoeboxes" and to ask you to join us. You will have a unique opportunity to become a Santa Claus for a child who will surely appreciate it and your good deed will warm your heart.
The procedure is simple. You find an empty shoebox. Decide who it's for. A boy? For a girl? And at what age? (0-17) Then write the age and gender on the label. Every year we are reminded not to forget the older children with their presents, for whom there are fewer presents each year than for the younger ones Fill the box gradually with things that would make the child happy. Crayons, notebooks or drawing pads, toys, a nice T-shirt, sweets, whatever you and the children can think of... You can add a photo on top and maybe even a Christmas greeting. When the box is full, wrap it up nicely and stick a label on top. Bring it to the nursery no later than Wednesday 30.11.2022. We will then deliver the gifts to the collection point. In this simple way you can prepare a wonderful Christmas surprise for someone.
